Miller is denied entry to Hitler’s apartment because it is "officers only" War correspondents were given the rank of captain, so technically the US Army guard should have let him in. The closing credits feature some "what happened to" explanations; and some of Lee’s original photos, often along with those that were recreated for the film.

You have to admire Kate Winslet for her determination to make a film about Lee Miller, a pioneering photographer who was one of the first to see the Nazi death camps and who fought for her right to record history as she saw it, and as a woman. Winslet fought for years and was consistently rejected, but she finally achieved her goal, and the result is a pretty good, sometimes very good, film.
Miller is someone worth mentioning, and this is a great tribute
Winslet is excellent as Lee Miller, and while the film initially follows the career of a miller in the early stages of the war, later on, when she gets more involved, it is a much better film, often impressive, intelligent, and even powerful.
