Set in the utopian Piltover and the oppressed Zaun metropolitan area, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart.. See the actors behind some of your favorite animated series and films, including Ella Purnell in “Arcane.” Fortiche Productions made a music video titled “Get Jinxed” for Riot in 2013. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to create.

Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters, who grow up and get into trouble in the city of Zaun and Piltover.The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you straight into this fictional world, time and care is taken to create the locations and characters in a commendable “show-don’t-tell” style. Solid character development and world-building means it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch without knowing anything about the game.The animation is downright exquisite. As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be far superior to anything I’ve seen in an animated series before.
There’s an incredible attention to detail
It’s clear that no artistic talent or expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life. Great soundtrack, great acting, and a gripping story that doesn’t hold back when it comes to violence and more adult themes. Only the first three episodes have been released so far, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
